12 Steps is Steps away.

Well I have finally got my research assignment to a point I’m pretty happy with.

It has taken a while, but I like the flow of ideas, and my referencing seems to be smooth and consistent.  12 Steps is now ready for a quick re-shoot on Navy blue paper in the light tent, then quick edits to clean and make the images as consistently the same, then it’s almost time to submit.

I would like to thank those around me that have helped keep me focused and offered help in editing and critiquing. The essay is pretty much on the money, but waiting on the last bits of feedback for tweaking.

Thanks Everyone!!

This is the work I have been doing for my first semester folio at PSC.

What I have concentrated on is using items I have found in the street while wandering around to create a photo set of images that describe most of the torn and broken parts of my life.

When I am a little more organized, I will post the full paper I have written on the subject and you will be able to click the link and read my research paper.

This is a slightly boring image. Composition is OK, but there are a lot of things wrong. I should have got the whole sign in; I should have moved back a little to get the roof in; I should have done a lot of things different really.

But for me the water is the key point here, and how soft and almost Fairy Flossy it is. Using about 3 stops of ND Filters during the overcast Melbourne day, I was still able to get a 4sec exposure. I would have liked about 10sec, but I will take what I can get.

At least I know it is achievable at the right time of day. Another visit is in order think..
